Mike Brennan

Mike’s background spans Project Management, Communications, Stakeholder Engagement, Recruitment, Human Resources, Marketing, and Advocacy.

Mike currently serves the Defence, Space & National Security portfolio as a Project Manager at the University of Queensland. Prior to joining UQ, Michael was a Project Manager for Technology Development & Acceleration at the Defence Trailblazer, where he supported the development and execution of industry-led research project proposals.

Previously, Michael served as the STEM & Corporate Social Responsibility Lead at Northrop Grumman Australia (NGA), elevating the company's profile via outreach and stakeholder engagement. He also held the role of Talent Acquisition Manager for Northrop Grumman Australia providing specialist recruitment solutions.

His career also includes extensive experience with Defence Force Recruiting sourcing hard-to-fill, niche and specialist roles for the Australian Defence Force. Mike has championed diversity, equity, and inclusion across multiple roles throughout his career, embedding inclusive practices into recruitment, outreach, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Beyond his professional roles, Michael is a Director on the Board at Women in Aviation International - Australian Chapter, serving as the Corporate Membership and Engagement Chair. He holds a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management from the University of Southern Queensland.
